"We had a really good chance to interact with new and existing customers and the feeling was exceptionally positive," said Jules Larsen, general manager of Waratah Forestry Attachments (Asia Pacific and Africa). Larsen said his contingent was very impressed with the scope of the products on both Waratah's live and static sites.

"Waratah sold three units during the show week and we received orders the following week that directly relate to the show," said Larsen. "Overall our team felt that the AUSTimber show was worth every effort and was a great representation of Australian forestry industry."

The Waratah exhibit was judged the best site at AUSTimber 2008 and received a $1,500 check for its efforts. Waratah immediately donated the money to Variety, The Children's Charity, which supports ill, disadvantaged and special-needs children.
