Waratah reveals new products in Finn Metko 2006
2006-09-13
With hundreds of exhibitions and more than 30,000 people in attendance, Finland’s Finn Metko is a major event. During the three-day show, Metko is attracting a more and more international audience—and becoming a reference for Western and Eastern Europe.

This year's show was held August 31-September 2nd. Waratah was there, and once again had the most popular stand among the attachment manufacturers. Its extensive line of harvester and processor heads—along with the traditional camp fire—helped the Waratah representatives from Finland and New Zealand provide a warm welcome to customers from several different nations.

The new H290 was the biggest attraction. This massive 1,900 kg two roller head can be the solution for several different areas, where the bigger trees need to be harvested with extraordinary delimbing quality and absolute precision. The H270 and the H480, launched last year in Europe, and the already well known New Zealand models HTH616 and HTH622B, were also drawing a lot of attention from the public.

Other attractions to the stand were the TimberRite™ Virtual Simulator, Waratah's new training tool for improving productivity; a real HTH240 in action, controlled by the new TimberRite measuring and control system; and the new FL85, a directional felling head, presented for the first time to the public.

See you again at Metko 2008!
