Southern Hospitality—Industrial Tractor Open House
2006-12-09
John Deere Forestry dealer, Industrial Tractor Co., Inc. welcomed loggers and their families to the grand opening of their newest facility in Walterboro, South Carolina, on December 9, 2006.

John Brent, forestry sales manager, was pleased with the turnout and the interest shown by the loggers.

"Our customers really turned out to support this event," he said. "John Deere and Waratah are known as industry leaders and we are proud to partner with companies who not only understand our business, but genuinely care about the loggers."
Santa was there to visit with the children and to send warm holiday wishes to everyone who attended. There were events and games to keep the crowd entertained and to raise money for a good cause. Eric Causey, Industrial Tractor salesman, ended up in the water when one sure-fire arm put him in the "dunk-tank." Donated prizes were raffled off, including a prize for guessing the weight of a trailer load of logs provided by local logger, Everett Bootle. All proceeds from the raffles and the sale of the wood were donated to Log-A-Load-for-Kids.

This is what logging is all about: families and pulling together to help others. When you can bring all of the partners together for a day of cheer, you automatically have a very merry forestry day.
